.

.
· Remove any previous spray tan residue
.
· Stay hydrated
.
· Avoid AHA/BHA products or other chemical exfoliants that may dry out the skin
.
· Avoid oils and heavy or greasy moisturizers.

THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

· Do not exfoliate or apply moisturizer
.
· Shower at least 4 hours before your appointment to allow your skin’s pH to balance and pores to close
.
· Arrive with clean, product-free skin:
no makeup, deodorant, perfume, lotions, or sunscreen
.
· Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toe shoes. Avoid tight clothing or anything that may rub against the skin after your tan. Long sweatpants are your best friend!

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

· Avoid water until it's time for your first rinse. This includes washing your hands, sweating excessively, and yes—even crying! Be extra careful in the bathroom; splashes happen.
· At the recommended rinse time discussed during your appointment, rinse with warm water only and use your hands only—no soap, loofahs, or washcloths. Continue rinsing until the water runs clear.
· Moisturize daily. Hydrated skin helps extend the life of your tan and promotes an even fade.
· Avoid body oils and oily products, as they can cause your tan to break down unevenly and become patchy.
· Avoid spraying perfume directly onto your skin.
· Retinols, AHA/BHA acids, and other chemical exfoliants can cause premature fading, so avoid them on tanned areas.
